This is the privacy statement of North West Hospice, located at The Mall, Sligo, Co. Sligo. This statement describes what information we may obtain about you when you visit the North West Hospice website, and how that information is collected and processed.

We respect your privacy and your right to control your personal data. We employ physical and technical measures, including staff training and encrypted web traffic, to make sure any data we collect and process is handled responsibly and securely.

What information do we collect

When you visit the North West Hospice website some information about you will be collected and processed for the purpose of web analytics. This information includes your IP address and an estimate of your location. We use the Google Analytics service to process this information.

You can also voluntarily submit information to us through one of the contact forms on the website, by making a donation, or by purchasing an item from our online shop. These forms ask for information like your name, email address, postal address, and phone number. We collect this information for the purpose of record-keeping (who has donated to us) and corresponding with you e.g. replying to your query, sending you the item you ordered.

Any information submitted through a form on the website is recorded and forwarded to the relevant section, and will be visible to all staff tasked with dealing with the query.

We retain your personal data for only as long as is necessary to fulfil the purpose for which it was originally collected, and for the purposes of legal or accounting requirements. In the case of technical data shared Google Analytics, we delete data after 26 months.

We share data about donations with Champ Cloud CRM. The data is not transferred outside the EU. The retention period for data relating to donors is 7 years for revenue purposes only.

What are your rights

You have the a right to make a request, in writing, to access, rectify, or erase any personal data about you that we hold. We will comply with any such request within 30 days. If the request is particularly complex or you have made multiple requests it may take us more time, in which case we will inform you. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the relevant supervisory authority if you are not happy with how we collect or process your personal data.
